Love winter!

Where did Precious and I went today? Yes, yes, yes! A little ride in the snow yeah! I love being outside, and loves it too! I felt she was kind of tired from yesterday's ride but we did a really good job working on transitions in the fluffy snow! In the deepest snow, which was like 2 feet I guess, it was like an amazing passage. What an awsome feeling, passage...Not doing piaffe yet, but we'll get there.

I feel blessed everyday I ride that oh-so-wonderful mare!

Christmas countdown: 3 days wouhou!

Love Holidays, even though mall centres are way too crowded for me!

December 21st, delicious ride!

Hello to you strangers,

I don't even know why I created this blog, probably not a single soul will ever read it. I guess my own satisfaction should do then.

Today Linda Robert, a well known trainer in Quebec, was at the barn, which made me quite happy! We chatted a little and then I kicked my butt to ride in the freazing arena. All I could think about was; ''It's going to be shitty ride, she's going to be spook, fresh and stiff because of the go-through-your-bones cold''. Who was completely wrong...yes, I was!

It was a delightful ride actually. Precious was so souple, so attentive, so wow! Everything was there, shoulder-in, half pass, legyield, counter canter etc...Gosh I love that horse. I'll probably compete this summer. Shows are my demons if I can say. I'm probably not the only one though. It's just that want to be perfect, I always am! If I enter at A, it's to win, not just to perform. I know I'm a gifted rider, so I have to win. That's probably why shows are my demons. Too much pressure from myself...I haven't competed in 2 years, so watch out guys, Alex's back to kick ass haha!

Bio

Hi. I guess that's how we start a conversation, even though it isn't one. My name; Alexandra Happy, my dream; become a succesful international dressage rider. Born June 4th 1990, 8 years later, first ride, and it's got me. Lease after lease after lease, my mother and I bought our first horse in August 2006. A truly beautiful 16hh1 Haneverian mare by the renowned Don Gregory. In case you don't know this stallion, you can Google it. I think it's the easiest way to know everything! Our first years were a bit, well...let's say that our first years were a non-stop questionning. You see, I bought her as a 6 y.o, the lady who owned her at the time imported my Precious (that's her barn name), from Germany at the young age of 6 months. She was supposed to be a broodmare for the rest of her life. I changed her mommy-to-be plans a bit. Sorry about that Precious, I'm sure you're happy as a bunny though!

Where was I...oh yes! Our first years. I was difficult, nobody really believed in her talent because she was the spookiest horse they ever saw haha! My oh-so-wonderful mother always believed in her, yes only my mom, let's face it guys, I was only 16, who should I believe, my mom or shitty trainers? Shitty trainers of course! Anyways, to make it short, she is now the most wonderful mare you can possibly dream of. Great mover, amazing personnality, you can do whatever you want with her, she still spooks though.
